About the concept of education: A philosophical analysis of education
About the concept of education. A philosophical analysis of education
Abstract
In this work we propose to problematize the concept of education from the instruments provided by the Philosophy of Education. To do so we will take up the Greek concept of Paideia and problematize it with philosophical reflections by the hand of some thinkers such as Hannah Arendt, Zigmunt Bauman, Byung Chul Han, Foucault, among others. We intend to establish the difference between what would involve defining or conceptualizing a word. In the latter sense— the word education understood as a concept- allows us to understand that this is a teacher's bond with the student through a practice of knowledge that involves caring for himself and caring for the other, and closer to the Greek concept of Paideia.
